Zones 8-9: Direct sow after last frost; harvest fresh pods all summer.
Zones 5-7: Direct sow late spring or start indoors 2–3 weeks before last frost.
Zones 3-4: Start indoors and transplant after risk of frost; provide extra warmth.

How to Grow and Harvest Rattlesnake Pole Bean
Planting: Sow seeds 2.5cm (1in) deep, 10–15cm (4–6in) apart along a trellis or support.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist during germination and flowering.
Harvesting: Pick young pods for fresh use or allow to mature and dry on the vine.
Maintenance: Provide tall support; mulch to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
