Low’s Pointed Lettuce is a unique and highly productive heirloom variety known for its distinct oak-leaf shape, upright growth habit, and pointed leaf tips. With a flavour that balances buttery richness and satisfying crispness, it’s a standout for salads and sandwiches. Its tall structure and vibrant green leaves make it an attractive and practical addition to any garden, and when left to mature, it self-seeds easily—ensuring your lettuce patch returns year after year.

Where Can You Grow Low's Pointed Lettuce?
Ideal for Zones 3-9, this variety grows best in full sun to partial shade with fertile, moist, well-drained soil. It performs exceptionally well in spring and autumn but can also be grown in summer with proper watering and partial shade.

History and Historical Uses
This rare heirloom has long been appreciated by gardeners for its reliable growth, flavour, and ability to thrive in varied conditions. Oak-leaf lettuces have been grown across Europe and North America for centuries, and Low’s Pointed stands out for its beauty and buttery texture. Its ability to self-seed has helped it remain a staple in heritage gardens.
