This delightful mix of three of our favourite smaller-fruited sweet peppers brings both vibrant colour and satisfying flavour to your garden. Ranging from red to orange and yellow, these compact peppers are ideal for fresh eating—perfect for popping straight into your mouth while gardening. The smaller fruit size helps ensure a solid harvest, even in less-than-perfect weather conditions. Whether grown in a garden bed or a patio planter, these peppers are a rewarding, sweet treat throughout the summer season.

Where Can You Grow Sweet Pepper Mix?
Best grown in Zones 4–9, these peppers thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Ideal for containers, raised beds, and sheltered warm spots in the garden. A greenhouse or sunny patio enhances production in cooler zones.

History and Historical Uses
Sweet peppers have long been cultivated in the Americas and were later introduced to Europe, where they became kitchen garden staples. Today, they are prized worldwide for their sweetness, colour, and versatility—eaten fresh, roasted, or stuffed.

Canadian Zone Information
Zones 8–9: Direct sow outdoors in late spring or transplant seedlings after frost.
Zones 5–7: Start indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost and transplant once soil is warm.
Zones 3–4: Use greenhouse or cold frame for best results; transplant out when conditions are reliably warm.

How to Grow and Harvest Sweet Pepper Mix
Planting: Sow seeds 0.5cm (1/4in) deep indoors; transplant 30–45cm (12–18in) apart.
Watering: Keep soil moist but not soggy; mulch to retain moisture.
Harvesting: Pick fruit when fully coloured for best flavour.
Maintenance: Fertilise with compost; stake plants if fruit load is heavy.

Seed Saving Tips for Future Supply
Select Ripe Fruit: Choose fully mature, vibrant-coloured peppers.
Harvest Seeds: Cut fruit open and remove seeds.
Dry and Store: Air dry seeds completely on a paper towel.
Store: Keep in an airtight container in a cool, dry place; viable for 3–4 years.
