The Haakaa Silicone Colostrum Collector is a world-first design, giving moms the option to express colostrum antenatally and postnatally in a safe, easy-to-use storage solution. Colostrum is traditionally collected in single-use syringes often made from harmful plastics. Our collector is made of 100% medical grade silicone, which means it won't leach nasty toxins and can be safely stored in the fridge or freezer. It's easy-to-use and reuse, making it the ideal option for moms both before and after birth! Our Silicone Colostrum Collector Set comes with 6 x Colostrum Collectors (4ml) and a complimentary cotton wipe, together in a clear storage case. - Haakaa silicone colostrum collector is designed to collect colostrum and then store and feed baby all from the same soft, squeezable silicone container. Colostrum is the “first milk” that comes in, often before your baby has even arrived! It is a thick, sticky, yellow substance known as “liquid gold” and is filled with protective antibodies, micronutrients, and good bacteria that support your little one’s gut and immune system.
- Made of 100% medical grade silicone. BPA, PVC and phthalate-free. Non-toxic and safe for newborns. Heat and freeze resistant.
- Easy to use. To use the collector, simply suction up droplets from your nipple using the collector nib. Or express directly into the collector body by removing the nib. Label with the supplied sticker and store according to breastmilk storage guidelines.
- Pre-sterilized and ready to use. Collector can be used immediately if opened within 12 months of pre-sterilization. If opening collector more than 12 months after date of sterilization, resterilize before use. Sterilize before re-use with any steam sterilizing system or by boiling in water for 2-3 minutes.
- Reusable and versatile. Can also be used as a dropper, a travel container, or a dispenser.
